MHM2 is now hosting two FREE training sessions to help family members, supporters and carers become more confident in knowing and asserting their rights and using the FREE 2019 co-designed resources. These are available for download at https://mentalhealthmatters2.com.au/resources/

The resources and training have been co-designed with family members and supporters who have experience in walking alongside an individual who has been involuntarily detained for mental health treatment.

A panel session with representatives from the Mental Health Advocacy Service https://mhas.wa.gov.au/, the Mental Health Tribunal https://www.mht.wa.gov.au/ and the Health and Disability Services Complaints Organisation https://www.hadsco.wa.gov.au/ will be part of each training. This provides a great opportunity to find out how these agencies work with families and supporters and their roles in making sure people’s rights under the Act are upheld.

Due to COVID19, registrations are essential for each event as numbers are limited.
If you have any queries or need to register outside of Eventbrite, please contact Virginia on 0422411696 or email us at [email protected].

We appreciate that this work is made possible by a ConnectGroups ‘Pay It Forward‘ grant with funding from the Mental Health Commission.
