Foundational Engagement resource launched 24th October 2018!

If the words ‘co-design’, ‘co-production’, ‘engagement’, ‘participation’ are words you’re increasingly hearing or using, this resource may be of interest.

We’ve called this work ‘foundational engagement’ because it refers to the practice of intentionally engaging people who are traditionally under-represented in decision-making.  It’s for anyone who is interested in better engaging with individuals who experience mental distress and alcohol and other drug use and their families and supporters.

The resource identifies and summarises some ‘foundational engagement’ resources which are available across Australia, particularly focussing on those who were partly or fully developed by people with lived/living experience.

This resource was conceptualised, designed, researched, written and supervised by people with living experiences (see the resource for definition).

The work was made possible by a ConnectGroups’ Pay It Forward grant with funding from the Mental Health Commission.

It can be downloaded from the Resources section of this webpage. or at www.mentalhealthmatters2.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Foundational-Engagement-report-2018.pdf.
